Fire Fiber Crochet & Knit Cruise with Mikey and Jonathan
This is the Fire Fiber Crochet & Knit Cruise, a
floating fiber festival sailing to Hawaii and back from San Francisco with
Mikey and Jonathan, and it’s going to be one big, joyful yarn explosion at sea.
Important Note: To join in the Fire Fiber fun,
including workshops, stitch sessions, themed events, and family program
activities, your cruise must be reserved through our designated travel agent.
This helps us keep the experience organized, prepared, and fair for everyone
participating. We’re unable to make exceptions to this requirement, so please
be sure your booking is made through our official travel agent if you’d like to
take part in the full program.
Choose your own yarn adventure: Crocheters can hook along
with Mikey from The Crochet Crowd, while knitters can clickity-click along with
Jonathan from Yarn Dragon.
Each group will enjoy 8 dedicated sessions with their own
host, giving everyone time to settle in, learn, stitch, and enjoy their chosen
craft lane. Then, in the afternoons, the yarn lanes merge for 8 joint stitch
sessions, where crocheters and knitters come together to laugh, share stories,
cheer each other on, and quite possibly leave with more project plans than
luggage space.
And because we believe yarn people deserve a good party,
we’re bringing the sparkle. Enjoy two themed parties, one fabulous Tea Party,
and plenty of time to connect with people who totally understand why “just one
more row” is never just one more row.
Come to learn. Come
to connect. Come to play. Bring your fun, bring your projects, and bring your
authentic self. This is your chance to have a ball, literally, with a ship full
of fiber-loving people who are ready to make memories.
Seats, skeins, and
sunshine are calling.
Let the love of fiber catch fire.
Mikey from The Crochet Crowd is a Canadian crochet
teacher, tutorial host, and professional yarn enabler who has been helping
crocheters stitch with confidence since 2008. With thousands of tutorials, a
love for real projects, and a knack for making crochet feel approachable, Mikey
brings the kind of energy that says, “You can do this,” even when your yarn has
other plans. He believes creativity should be fun, community should feel
welcoming, and every good adventure deserves at least one ball of yarn rolling
around somewhere.
Jonathan Berner, better known as the Yarn Dragon, is
a Seattle-based knitter, hand-dyer, teacher, and the owner of Yarn Dragon. He’s
spent years helping knitters build confidence one stitch at a time through
approachable tutorials, inspiring social media, and a genuine love of the
craft. Whether he’s teaching socks, dyeing the next favorite skein, or
encouraging someone to tackle a project they never thought they could make,
Jonathan believes knitting is about more than yarn—it’s about creativity,
connection, and finding joy in the process. He’s thrilled to share this
adventure with you and firmly believes every unforgettable journey is even
better with knitting in your hands.
